Problem

Our team was tasked with improving the user experience of KptnCook, a recipe application. The current version lacked personalization, dietary filters, tutorial videos, and a calorie plan feature. Our goal was to identify opportunities for enhancing the user experience by conducting comprehensive market research.

After analyzing market trends, competitor landscapes, and user feedback, we found that users were dissatisfied with the lack of personalized recommendations and dietary filters. Additionally, users wanted more tutorial videos and a calorie plan feature to help them achieve their health goals.

Solution

We proposed several key improvements to the application based on our research findings. First, we added personalized recipe recommendations based on each user's dietary preferences and search history. Second, we implemented dietary filters so that users could easily find recipes that fit their specific needs.

To address the need for tutorial videos, we created short instructional videos for each recipe that demonstrated how to prepare it step-by-step. Finally, we added a calorie plan feature that allowed users to set daily calorie goals and track their progress toward achieving them.
