Problem

As a narcotics officer pharmacist, we faced the challenge of identifying and preventing prescription drug abuse. Prescription drug abuse has become a growing problem in recent years, with many people becoming addicted to painkillers and other medications. It was difficult to track down individuals who were abusing prescription drugs, as they often obtained them through fraudulent means or from multiple doctors.

We needed a solution that would help us identify individuals who were abusing prescription drugs and prevent them from obtaining more medication than they needed.

Solution

To address this problem, we developed a system that allowed pharmacists to track patients' prescriptions across different pharmacies. The system was designed to flag any suspicious activity, such as patients filling the same prescription at multiple pharmacies or filling prescriptions for large quantities of medication too frequently.

The system also allowed pharmacists to communicate with each other about patients who may be abusing prescription drugs. This helped us identify patterns of behavior that could indicate abuse and take action to prevent it.
