In a project, we were asked to improve their blog's search engine optimization (SEO). The blog had been up and running for some time, but the client was not seeing the desired traffic or engagement. They were looking for a solution that would help them rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) and attract more visitors to their site.

After conducting an initial audit of the blog, I identified several areas where improvements could be made. The permalinks were not optimized, and numerous on-page SEO issues need to be addressed. I knew that implementing these changes would require a comprehensive strategy and careful attention to detail.

Solution

I began by setting up permalinks for the blog, following best practices to ensure they were optimized for search engines. Next, I installed the Yoast plugin on WordPress, which allowed me to perform on-page SEO optimizations quickly and efficiently.

I carefully reviewed each page and post on the blog, addressing all of the issues highlighted in the Yoast footer. I optimized content for target keywords, added alt tags to images, and ensured that meta descriptions met Google's standards. I also made sure that each page had a clear hierarchy of headings and subheadings.
