Problem

A group of six designers was tasked with creating a toy that would be popular with kids. The team had to come up with a unique idea that would stand out in the market and appeal to children. After brainstorming, the team decided on designing a laser tag game that included hand blasters and stationary targets.

The challenge was to design electronics with sound, LEDs, and IR sensors that could be coded in C and powered by Arduino. The team also had to ensure that the product was safe for children to use and could be manufactured efficiently.

Solution

The team started by researching existing laser tag games in the market and identified areas where they could improve upon them. They then used Fusion 360 to create 3D models of the hand blasters and stationary targets. Once the designs were finalized, they manufactured and assembled two glove hand blasters and four stationary targets that all had sound and lights triggered by IR sensors.

To ensure safety, the team tested the product thoroughly before releasing it into the market. They also created an instruction manual for parents to follow when their children were using the product.
