They came!

Some in white, out of custom,
others in black, out of something unknown,
a few out of genuine mourning,
and many… out of obligation.

I watched from a place without weight or voice,
But only presence, not in body, but in Essence!

Some sat with eyes lowered,
tears pooling in silence,
not because they hadn’t said goodbye,
but because they had never really said hello.

Some whispered in corners,
their words sticky with curiosity:
"Did she leave anything behind?"
"Any letters? Anything unusual?"

Others escaped into their phones,
their discomfort tucked behind screens,
checking boxes,
avoiding emotion.

I saw them too, standing away from the crowd,
With a gaze that held the heaviness of the world within!

And then I realized:

“They’re all here for me, yet none of them are seeing me.
Not the way I had always longed to be seen.”

So I wrote this. Not to haunt. Not to hurt.
But to remember me in the language I spoke best!

You see, I’m not asking for gifts or chocolates, or cakes or flowers, Just… color!

And if you remember me,
Do it not in silence,
but in the riot of colors I carried
in a world that never asked for them.

And if you wear black again,
make sure it’s only for a moment,
before you open your heart, to the hues of Red and White!
