Background

As an avid reader, we noticed that there was a lack of options for exchanging books with others in our area. We wanted to create a platform that would allow users to safely and easily exchange books they had already read with others nearby.

Problem

The main problem we identified was the lack of a safe and reliable platform for book exchanges. Many people were hesitant to meet strangers in person to exchange books, and there was no easy way to find others who were interested in exchanging books in the first place.

Solution

We created a web app that allowed users to sign up and list the books they were willing to exchange. Users could then search for books they were interested in reading and request an exchange with the owner of that book. The app included safety features such as user verification and messaging within the app so users could communicate without sharing personal information.
