Background

The Ideavest team consisting of 3 people participated in a hackathon idea generation organized by TechConnect and Siminvest. The challenge was to generate ideas for the Siminvest app, a stock investment app by Sinar Mas. During the brainstorming session, the team identified several problems that needed to be addressed.

Problem

The majority of Muslims in Indonesia have not invested in the stock market due to doubts about the halalness of stock market investments in Indonesia. Additionally, they lack education on Shariah stock market investments. This presents a significant problem for Siminvest as it limits their potential customer base.

Solution

To address these issues, Ideavest proposed introducing Shariah Investment Features on the platform to provide assurance of halal investments. They also suggested providing education on Shariah stock market investments, especially in the stock market. These solutions would help build trust with potential customers and encourage them to invest through Siminvest.

Potential minimum revenue per year for Siminvest is $24,650,009 USD
Gives Siminvest a competitive advantage as there is currently no platform in Indonesia that offers Shariah investment features despite the large market demand.
Increases accessibility and trust among Muslim investors who were previously hesitant to invest in stocks.
