Background

Our team was approached by a client who wanted to create a reading application that would serve the African market and its diaspora. The goal of the application was to highlight African authors and showcase modern African literature, including new authors and collections in romance, suspense, and spirituality.

Problem

The main challenge we faced was creating an application that would appeal to a diverse audience with varying reading preferences. Additionally, we needed to ensure that the application was user-friendly and accessible to users with limited internet connectivity or older devices.

Solution

To address these challenges, we developed an application that allowed users to browse books by genre or author, as well as search for specific titles. We also included features such as book previews, reviews, and recommendations based on user preferences. To make the application accessible to users with limited internet connectivity or older devices, we optimized the app's performance and minimized data usage.
