Background

As a team of software developers, we noticed that many job seekers face the challenge of customizing their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to fit different job descriptions. We realized that there was a need for a platform where job seekers could tell their entire story without the constraints of traditional resumes.

Problem

The problem we aimed to solve was the difficulty job seekers face in showcasing their full range of skills and experiences on traditional resumes and LinkedIn profiles. These platforms often require users to fit their experiences into predefined categories, which can limit the ability to highlight unique skills and achievements.

Solution

We developed a platform called "My Story" that allows job seekers to create a comprehensive profile that showcases their full range of skills and experiences. The platform includes sections for traditional resume information such as work experience and education, but also allows users to add sections for personal projects, volunteer experience, and other relevant experiences that may not fit into traditional categories.
