Background

Our team was tasked with creating a venue discovery app centered around local bars and breweries. The goal was to provide users t provides real-time wait times, drink specials, and shows where users' friends are going. The app encourages social exploration of new venues with friends and lets you know real-time stats about what is going on at the venue.

Problem

The main challenge we faced was creating an app that would stand out in a crowded market. There were already several popular apps that provided similar services, so we needed to find a way to differentiate ourselves from the competition.

Solution

We decided to focus on providing personalized recommendations based on the user's preferences and past behavior. By analyzing data such as previous check-ins and drink orders, we could suggest new venues that the user might enjoy. We also added social features that allowed users to see where their friends were going and what they were drinking.
