Problem

Ma-Ji Teahouse was facing a problem of creating an environment that would allow people to relax and enjoy traditional and contemporary tea ceremonies. The teahouse was located in the Zhonghe district of New Taipei City, which is known for its dense, fast-paced life. The challenge was to create a space that would provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city while also incorporating architectural techniques to enhance the aesthetic experience.

Solution

We created a design that incorporated natural materials such as wood and stone to create a calming atmosphere. We also used lighting techniques to highlight certain areas of the teahouse and create a sense of depth. To enhance the aesthetic experience, we incorporated elements such as water features and greenery throughout the space. We also designed seating arrangements that allowed for both communal and private experiences.
