Problem

For the purposes of this project, let's pretend a client, a telecommunications company, was receiving a high volume of customer complaints about difficulty entering phone numbers correctly on their website. Customers were frustrated with having to manually remove spaces and punctuations from their phone numbers before submitting them. This caused a decrease in customer satisfaction and an increase in call center volume.

Solution

I developed a simple php application that removes any punctuations or spaces from any phone number entered into it. The application would be integrated into the client's website, allowing customers to easily enter their phone numbers without having to worry about formatting. I also added a feature that automatically formats the phone number in the standard format after submission for easy readability.
