Problem

Visually impaired individuals face numerous challenges in their daily lives, including difficulty navigating their surroundings and accessing information. This can lead to a lack of independence and decreased quality of life. Traditional assistive technologies are often expensive and limited in functionality, leaving many visually impaired individuals without access to the tools they need.

Solution

We developed a project using machine learning that provides a comprehensive solution for visually impaired individuals. Our solution includes both software and hardware components, allowing users to navigate their surroundings more easily and access information with greater independence. The software component uses computer vision algorithms to identify objects in the user's environment and provide audio feedback through headphones or speakers. The hardware component consists of a wearable device that includes sensors for detecting obstacles and providing haptic feedback to the user.
