Home security is a major concern for homeowners, and traditional security systems can be expensive and difficult to install. Additionally, many homeowners are looking for a more user-friendly solution that allows them to monitor their homes remotely. Our team recognized this problem and set out to create a cost-effective and easy-to-use surveillance system that would meet the needs of homeowners.

Our team also recognized that there was a need for a system that could be easily customized to fit the unique needs of each homeowner. Many traditional security systems offer limited options for customization, which can leave homeowners feeling frustrated and unprotected. We wanted to create a system that would allow users to tailor their security settings to fit their specific needs.

Solution

To address these challenges, our team developed the Neighborhood Watch Security System (NWSS). NWSS is a mobile app that allows users to view live feeds from surveillance cameras and control camera settings from anywhere in the world. The app is built using Flutter framework and esp32cam hardware.

NWSS offers several key features that make it an ideal solution for homeowners. First, users can log in or sign up using Google credentials, making it easy to get started with the app. Second, the app offers live surveillance capabilities, allowing users to monitor their homes in real-time. Third, NWSS includes motion detection technology, which alerts users when movement is detected on their property. Finally, NWSS includes a camera web server feature that allows users to access their cameras directly from any web browser.
