Overview

As first-time founders, and just getting familiar with the web3 industry, we had a lot of ideas but lacked many core skills to actually execute well. We applied to two accelerators and were fortunate enough to be accepted into both, but this presented its own set of challenges.

We were two techies who completely lacked skills for the otherwise, and kept honing our skills as we pivoted.

Products Created

JointNFT: Co-op Funds to trade NFTs
MetaLeap: NFT Renting SaaS
HighFi-Mail: A fully decentralized, end-to-end encrypted, address-to-address communication platform for Web3 users.
HighFi Support CRM: A support-chat widget with a dashboard to resolve Web3 user queries easily.

Winding Up

During this journey, we met many supporting advisors and members of the community. Nonetheless towards the end, there were certain core skills we wanted to grasp better and then take a fresh start with a problem we relate more towards.

Thus in Oct'22, at the end of DevCon, we decided to halt our operations and we returned the remaining company funds to the investors.

Learnings & Journey Forward

We wanted to learn certain core founder areas before going back to building a company:

Product Strategy and Planning
Getting deeper into the ecosystem
Better hiring & culture
Inculcating continuous learning
Hiring with an active focus on self-drive and learnability for early-stage.

We decided to build public goods with support from ecosystem grants for the next couple of months. This would help us getter deeper into the ecosystem, build a richer network, as well give us floating capital till we identify a problem we relate to and get the conviction to solve, irrespective of what's trending.
