Problem

A music school in Toronto, Canada needed to redesign the interior plans and design interiors of a heritage building. The challenge was to create a design that combined retro and modern styles while preserving the heritage aspect of the building.

The existing space was not functional for a music school, so we had to come up with a new layout that would accommodate classrooms, practice rooms, offices, and common areas. Additionally, we had to ensure that the acoustics were suitable for music instruction.

Solution

We started by analyzing the existing space and identifying areas that could be repurposed for classrooms and practice rooms. We then created a new layout that maximized the available space while ensuring that each room had adequate natural light and ventilation.

To create a design that combined retro and modern styles, we used vintage furniture pieces alongside modern fixtures such as LED lights. We also incorporated elements such as exposed brick walls and wooden beams to preserve the heritage aspect of the building.
