Problem

The steel industry has long struggled with the issue of corrosion. Rust is a common problem that can cause significant damage to steel products, leading to reduced lifespan and increased maintenance costs. Our team was tasked with developing a rust passivator that could improve the corrosion resistance of steel products.

After researching various options, we found that existing passivators were not effective enough for our needs. We needed to develop a new formula that would exhibit enhanced passivation properties and provide better protection against corrosion.

Solution

Our team decided to focus on developing a citric acid passivation formula. Citric acid is an organic acid that is safe, environmentally friendly, and readily available. We conducted extensive research on the properties of citric acid and how it could be used as a passivator for steel products.

We then developed a prototype of our citric acid passivator and tested it extensively in the lab. We found that it exhibited excellent passivation properties and provided much better protection against corrosion than existing solutions. We refined our formula based on these results until we had a final product that met all of our requirements.
