Problem

As a disk jockey with over 10,000 music files, finding the right track can be challenging. The sheer number of files makes it difficult to categorize and sort tracks effectively. This problem is compounded by the fact that traditional sorting methods such as file names and metadata are not always accurate or consistent.

To solve this problem, we needed a more efficient and reliable way to categorize and sort our music files.

Solution

We found a pre-trained AI model that could identify genre, mood, instruments, and other relevant information about each track. We spun up a Linux server and wrote instructions for using the model to process our audio files.

The AI model allowed us to automatically categorize each track based on its unique characteristics. We could then easily search for tracks based on their genre, mood, or other attributes.
