As the popularity of cryptocurrencies grew, there was a need for an easy way to distribute small amounts of cryptocurrency to users. Traditional methods of distribution were slow and cumbersome, requiring users to go through multiple steps to receive their tokens. Additionally, there was a lack of transparency in the process, leading to distrust among users.

To address this problem, our team was tasked with creating a faucet dapp using web3 js, solidity, and truffle. The goal was to create a simple and transparent way for users to receive small amounts of cryptocurrency without having to go through a complicated process.

Solution

Our team created a faucet dapp that leveraged web3 js, solidity, and truffle. The dapp allowed users to easily request small amounts of cryptocurrency by simply entering their wallet address. The request would then be processed automatically by the smart contract and the requested amount would be sent directly to the user's wallet.

To ensure transparency in the process, we made all transactions publicly visible on the blockchain. This allowed users to see exactly when their transaction was processed and when they received their tokens. Additionally, we implemented security measures such as rate limiting and captcha verification to prevent abuse of the system.
