Self-diagnosis and treatment can be a complicated process for patients, leading to confusion and potentially harmful decisions. Our team recognized the need for a solution that would simplify and streamline this process for users.

We set out to develop an AI-enabled patient self-care chatbot that would understand symptoms, diagnose ailments, and provide home remedies and useful resources.

Solution

To create our chatbot, we utilized natural language processing (NLP) tools such as Huggingface, NLTK, Transformers, and TensorFlow. We also integrated the Telegram API and Flask framework to allow for seamless communication between the user and the chatbot.

We trained our model using BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers), which allowed us to accurately understand user input and provide personalized recommendations based on their symptoms. The chatbot also provided links to relevant resources for further information or treatment options.
