Problem

As a team, we noticed that many college students struggle with managing their personal finances. They often overspend and end up with little to no money left for necessities like groceries or rent. We wanted to create a solution that would help these students budget their money effectively and avoid financial stress.

After conducting some research, we found that there were few user-friendly apps available for this purpose. Many existing apps were overly complicated and difficult to navigate, which only added to the problem. We knew we needed to create something simple and intuitive if it was going to be successful.

Solution

We decided to create a web app called PG Life (short for "Post-Graduate Life") that would help college students manage their finances easily. The app would allow users to input their income and expenses, set budgets for different categories (like food or entertainment), and track their spending over time.

To make the app as user-friendly as possible, we designed it with a clean and simple interface. Users could quickly see how much money they had left in each category at any given time, making it easy to adjust their spending habits as needed. We also included helpful features like notifications when users were close to reaching their budget limits.
