Problem

Financial literacy is a crucial skill that many people lack. The lack of knowledge in this area can lead to poor financial decisions, debt, and financial instability. This was the problem that Money Conference aimed to address.

The conference was organized by SIC in collaboration with Central University’s SRC. As the Editorial Chairperson, I wrote an article on it. The conference covered topics such as time management, investment, savings, budgets, creating expenditures, loans and so on.

Solution

The solution was to organize a workshop that would educate people on financial literacy. The Money Conference brought together experts in finance who shared their knowledge and experience with attendees. The conference covered various topics related to personal finance such as budgeting, saving, investing and managing debt.

The conference also provided attendees with practical tips and tools they could use to improve their financial situation. Attendees were able to network with other like-minded individuals who were also interested in improving their financial literacy.

Impact

Over 70% of attendees signed up for the Ahomgye pa savings initiative by the SIC at the end of the conference.
80% of attendees reported implementing at least one new financial habit after attending the conference
