Problem

Amarjit Singh, a post-doctorate researcher at RCCS in Japan, faced challenges in improving the performance of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). The end-to-end delay and energy efficiency were major issues that needed to be addressed. Traditional routing protocols were not efficient enough to handle these problems. Singh needed to find an innovative solution that would improve the performance of MANETs. To address this issue, Singh turned to Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) as a potential solution. ANNs could learn from data patterns and make predictions based on those patterns. Singh believed that ANNs could help improve the performance of MANETs by reducing end-to-end delay and increasing energy efficiency.

Solution

Singh conducted extensive research on ANNs and their application in MANETs. He developed an algorithm that combined different MANET protocols with ANNs to improve the network's performance. The algorithm focused on reducing end-to-end delay and increasing energy efficiency. The ANN-based algorithm was tested extensively using MATLAB R2013a software. Comparison plots were developed for result analysis, which showed significant improvements in network performance. The results indicated that the ANN-based algorithm outperformed traditional routing protocols.
