Problem

Capital University had a vast array of plant species on campus, but there was no comprehensive catalog available. The lack of organization and documentation made it difficult for students and faculty to identify the various plants. This led to confusion and missed opportunities for research and education.

We recognized the need for a detailed catalog of all plant species on campus that would be easily accessible to anyone who needed it.

Solution

We led a project to catalog all plant species on campus using various classification techniques and apps. We utilized authentic apps for plant identification, which helped us identify each plant accurately. We also used different classification techniques such as morphology-based, anatomy-based, and molecular-based methods to classify the plants.

To ensure that the catalog was highly detailed and organized, we developed a document that included information about each plant's scientific name, common name, family name, habitat, growth habit, leaf arrangement, flower color, fruit type, etc. We also included pictures of each plant in the document.
