Problem

Firefighters need a better way to communicate with each other during emergency situations. The current system is outdated and unreliable, leading to miscommunication and potentially dangerous situations.

We interviewed several firefighters and found that the main issues were difficulty hearing radio transmissions, lack of clarity in messages, and delays in receiving critical information.

Solution

We developed FireComm, an app that allows firefighters to communicate with each other using their smartphones. The app includes features such as voice-to-text transcription, message prioritization based on urgency, and real-time location tracking of team members.

The app also has a built-in emergency alert system that sends notifications to all team members in case of an urgent situation. This ensures that everyone is aware of the situation and can respond quickly.
