Problem

As a film director, I faced the challenge of finding the right actors for my films. It was a time-consuming process to go through hundreds of resumes and conduct multiple auditions to find the perfect fit. Additionally, it was difficult to assess an actor's performance in a short audition. This led to casting decisions that were not always optimal for the project.

To solve this problem, my team and I decided to create an online platform that would streamline the casting process and make it easier for actors and directors to connect.

Solution

We created an online platform that allowed actors to upload their profiles, headshots, and demo reels. Directors could then search for actors based on specific criteria such as age range, gender, ethnicity, and experience level. The platform also included a video audition feature where actors could submit self-tapes directly through the website.

The platform's algorithm used machine learning to match actors with roles based on their skills and experience. This eliminated the need for manual searches and made it easier for directors to find suitable candidates quickly.
