Problem

While working with one of the leaders in the pre-listing home improvement space, we discovered that they were really struggling with retention revenue. However, as a B2B2C organization, it was up to us to develop a plan to encourage real estate agents to refer us more often to their clients.

After conducting research, we found out that real estate agents are inundated with businesses trying to get their referrals, and we needed to do something completely unheard of to set ourselves apart.

Solution

To address the problem of poor retention as well as attract new customers, we launched a customer program that encouraged real estate agents to make more referrals by investing back in their businesses with each project they referred.

For each project an agent brought us after their first, we gave them $1,000 when the property sold.
