Problem

The Covid-19 pandemic brought about a lot of challenges, including the need for people to isolate themselves at home or in quarantine facilities. Studies showed that quarantined individuals experienced adverse psychological effects such as post-traumatic stress symptoms, confusion, and anger. This led to the creation of QuaranTIME, a mobile application designed to help people make the most out of their quarantine days.

Our team recognized that many people struggled with how to spend their time during quarantine, leading to boredom and stress. We aimed to create an application that would allow users to build a customized quarantine schedule for themselves and provide them with engaging content that would reduce stress and induce fun, engagement, and productivity.

Solution

We designed QuaranTIME using the principles of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) to ensure ease of use and navigation. The app's interface is user-friendly, allowing users to easily customize their schedules according to their preferences. Our team conducted user surveys using relevant UX research methods to understand the needs and requirements of users from various demographics.

We used Figma as our design tool, Miro and GitHub for collaboration, Flutter for frontend development, and Firebase for backend development. The app's content was designed to provide a better user experience through interactive and intuitive elements.
