Problem

The Cool Kids mobile application was created to support families with adolescents needing support through Pediatric Oncology. The problem was that these families often felt isolated and unsupported, and there was a need for a platform that could provide them with resources, information, and community.

We conducted research and found that many families were struggling to find the right resources and support during their child's treatment. They often felt overwhelmed by the amount of information available online, and they didn't know where to turn for help.

Solution

We developed the Cool Kids mobile application to address this problem. The app provides families with access to a variety of resources, including articles on coping strategies, information about treatment options, and a directory of local support groups.

In addition to these resources, the app also includes a community forum where families can connect with each other for emotional support. This feature has been particularly helpful in reducing feelings of isolation among families going through similar experiences.
