Problem

When I joined the startup as the first engineer, we were using a white-label product from a third-party company to run our applications. However, we soon discovered that the code was of poor quality and difficult to scale. We needed a solution that would increase our team's productivity, achieve flexibility and scalability for mobile apps, and decrease the cost of development.

After much consideration, we decided to create mobile apps from scratch using Kotlin multiplatform mobile with a small team.

Solution

We started planning Byte 2.0 and implemented the app with best practices and clean architecture to make it highly flexible and easy to maintain. Our goal was to create an app that would be up and running with remarkable stability and performance.

We worked hard to ensure that our new app would be powerful and flexible while delivering features with our current stack regularly. By creating mobile apps from scratch, we were able to achieve more power and flexibility while delivering scalable features.
