CTO Leads Innovative Robot Restaurant Build

Background

Our team was tasked with building a robot restaurant that could serve 250 customers per day. The goal was to create an innovative dining experience that incorporated patented automation technology. As the CTO, I designed the architecture and managed the engineering team.



Problem

The biggest challenge we faced was creating a seamless experience for customers while also ensuring that the robots were efficient and effective in their tasks. We needed to design a system that would allow for easy ordering and payment, as well as smooth delivery of food by the robots. Additionally, we had to ensure that the robots were able to handle any potential issues or errors without disrupting the overall flow of the restaurant.

Solution

To address these challenges, we developed a comprehensive system that incorporated both hardware and software solutions. We designed custom-built robots that were able to navigate through the restaurant and deliver food directly to customers' tables. These robots were equipped with sensors and cameras that allowed them to detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

On the software side, we developed an intuitive ordering system that allowed customers to place their orders using touchscreens located throughout the restaurant. This system was integrated with our kitchen management software, which ensured that orders were prepared quickly and accurately. We also implemented a payment processing system that allowed for seamless transactions.
