Problem

As the flagship conference of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, KubeCon North America 2023 needed a microsite to showcase all the keynote sessions, breakout sessions, co-located events, product information, and meeting requests. The microsite had to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and provide all necessary information for attendees.

However, the team faced several challenges in creating the microsite. The tight deadline meant that there was limited time for design and development. Additionally, with so much information to include on the site, it was challenging to ensure that everything was organized in a logical and user-friendly way.

Solution

The team decided to use a modular design approach for the microsite. This allowed them to create reusable components that could be easily assembled into different pages on the site. By using this approach, they were able to save time on development while ensuring consistency across all pages.

To organize all of the information on the site, the team created a clear hierarchy of content. They used headings and subheadings to break up long blocks of text and made sure that important information was highlighted in prominent locations on each page.
