Problem

Our university had been struggling to engage with local partners and businesses in the community. We wanted to find a way to build stronger relationships and show our commitment to giving back.

After brainstorming, we came up with the idea of hosting a Volunteering Day on campus where we would invite our partners and their employees to come and volunteer alongside our students. However, we quickly realized that organizing such an event would be a massive undertaking.

Solution

We formed a team of five individuals from different departments across the university who were passionate about community engagement. We began by reaching out to our partners and explaining the concept of the Volunteering Day. Once we received positive feedback, we started planning the logistics of the event.

We divided tasks among ourselves, including securing supplies, coordinating volunteers, creating schedules, and designing promotional materials. We also reached out to local media outlets to help spread the word about our event.
