Narcity Boosts Organic Traffic By 60% Via AI-Powered SEO Strategy

Problem

Narcity, a digital media company, was struggling to increase its organic traffic within the context of the Bill C-18 in Canada. We realized we need to rank higher on search engines for relevant queries with our social media traffic nosediving.

After conducting an internal audit, we discovered the specific keywords that needed to be targeted better in our content. From before I joined the company, it also lacked a comprehensive SEO strategy and were not leveraging AI-powered tools to optimize their website for search engines.

Solution

Given my past experience with organic traffic and academic background in technology, I led the implementation of AI-powered keyword research and SEO strategy using Market Muse. I experimented with my own writing and was able to generate viral proofs of concept for the rest of the writers to follow — through identification of relevant keywords and optimization of their content accordingly.

Additionally, I reinforced the SEO basics like link building, meta descriptions, and title tags. The team also restructured their internal processes by creating a dedicated workflow for producing high-quality articles optimized for search engines. They worked closely with me to ensure that all content was optimized for relevant keywords and queries.

Impact

  • Organic traffic increased by 60% in the first month after implementing the new strategy

  • Website ranked higher on multiple relevant queries

"This new SEO strategy has been a game-changer for our website. We've seen incredible growth in organic traffic and engagement, and we're excited to continue optimizing our content for search engines," said a colleague.
