Problem

Our team was tasked with developing a web application that would allow for rapid food orders in crowded areas such as college cafeterias. The current process was inefficient and resulted in long wait times for students and staff. We also needed to focus on testing the Admin and Owner pages to ensure they were user-friendly and functional.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was creating a system that could handle peak-hour orders without crashing or slowing down. We needed to find a way to streamline the food booking process while also ensuring accuracy and security.

Solution

To address these challenges, we decided to use React Native for the front-end development and Java for the back-end. We also utilized Hibernate and MySQL for database connectivity. Our team followed an Agile process model to ensure that we could quickly adapt to any changes or issues that arose during development.

We implemented a unique algorithm that allowed for rapid food orders even during peak hours. This algorithm ensured accuracy, security, and speed by prioritizing orders based on their time of submission and other factors such as payment method. We also focused heavily on testing the Admin and Owner pages to ensure they were user-friendly, functional, and secure.
