Our client, a retail company, was struggling with identifying counterfeit products in their supply chain. They were relying on manual inspection of products which was time-consuming and often resulted in missed counterfeit items slipping through the cracks. This led to a loss of revenue and damage to their brand reputation. The client approached us to develop a solution that could automate the process of identifying counterfeit products.

We proposed a machine learning solution using image recognition technology. The challenge was to train the model to accurately identify counterfeit products from genuine ones based on product images.

Solution

We developed a machine learning model using TensorFlow library for image recognition. We trained the model using thousands of product images, including both genuine and counterfeit items. The model was designed to analyze product images and classify them as genuine or counterfeit based on specific features such as color, texture, and shape.

The model was integrated into the client's supply chain management system, where it automatically analyzed product images before they were approved for distribution. If the model detected any counterfeit items, it alerted the quality control team who would then inspect the item manually before making a final decision.
