Problem
A brand registered listing on Amazon was somehow changed to a generic brand name by a glitch. Unfortunately, Amazon does not allow changing the brand name at that time after creating a listing, so it became a fight with Amazon support to change the brand name.
The issue was that the product was no longer searchable under its original brand name, and customers could not find it. This led to a significant loss to our client in terms of inventory storage fee etc.

Solution
We started by reaching out to Amazon support and explaining the situation. However, they were unable to help us since their system did not allow changing the brand name on an existing listing. We realized that we needed to take a different approach.
We decided to create a new listing with the correct brand name and then merge it with the old one. This required us to provide proof of ownership of both listings and go through several rounds of verification with Amazon support. Finally, after weeks of back-and-forth communication, we were able to merge the two listings successfully.
We had a call with Amazon Brand Registry representative and I made him realize the issue, he realized the issue and change the brand name of that listing too.
