Problem

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is the largest rental assistance program in the United States. However, it has been plagued with inefficiencies and difficulties in administration. The public housing consultants at CGI were tasked with improving and streamlining operations to support locally administered HCV programs.

One of the biggest challenges was managing the large amount of data involved in the program. There were numerous databases that needed to be integrated, and data had to be collected from a variety of sources. This made it difficult to get a clear picture of what was happening with each individual voucher.

Solution

To address these challenges, we developed a custom software platform that could integrate all of the necessary data into one central location. This allowed us to easily track each voucher and ensure that it was being used correctly.

The platform also included advanced analytics capabilities, which allowed us to identify trends and patterns in voucher usage. This helped us make more informed decisions about how to allocate resources and improve the overall efficiency of the program.
