Problem

Our team was tasked with designing a 6 DOF robotic arm and examining its motion and accuracy in MATLAB/Simulink. The challenge was to create a simulation that could accurately represent the real-world behavior of the robotic arm.

We faced several obstacles during the project, including determining the optimal design for the arm, simulating its motion accurately, and ensuring that it could perform its intended tasks efficiently.

Solution

To overcome these challenges, we began by researching different designs for robotic arms and analyzing their strengths and weaknesses. We then used this information to create a detailed design for our own robotic arm that would be both accurate and efficient.

Next, we developed a simulation in MATLAB/Simulink that accurately represented the behavior of our robotic arm. This involved using complex mathematical models to simulate the motion of each joint in the arm, as well as accounting for factors such as gravity and friction.
