AI Assistant for Grammar Skills in Middle School

Problem

As a team of educators, we noticed that middle school English learners often struggle with grammar and don't receive enough individual feedback to improve. Traditional classroom settings can make it difficult for teachers to provide personalized attention to each student, leading to students falling behind in their language development.

We knew there had to be a better way to help these students succeed and decided to create an AI assistant that could give individualized feedback on grammar.

Solution

Our team of educators and learning designers worked together to develop an AI assistant that could offer personalised instruction and provide personalized feedback on their grammar mistakes. We utilised common AI tools available to customise a learning solution for students that wanted additional support.

The AI assistant was designed to be user-friendly, with a simple interface that allowed students to clarify their doubts on various grammatical concepts and receive instant feedback on their mistakes. The system also provided suggestions for how they could improve their writing skills.
