Problem

A consulting firm approached us with a project to gather information on 10 CEOs from the top 500 companies in the US and create a tableau dashboard that illustrates a pattern or insight that finds the success among these people. The challenge was to identify the right metrics that would help us analyze the data and come up with meaningful insights.

We started by researching various sources to gather data on the CEOs, their companies, and their performance. However, we soon realized that there was no standard format for this information, and it was scattered across different platforms. This made it difficult for us to collect and analyze the data effectively.

Solution

To address this challenge, we created a structured framework for collecting and analyzing the data. We identified key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, market share, profitability, etc., that were relevant to all companies regardless of their industry or size. We then collected data on these KPIs for each CEO's company over a period of five years.

Next, we used Tableau to create an interactive dashboard that visualized these KPIs and allowed users to filter by industry, company size, and other parameters. We also included additional insights such as educational background, work experience, tenure as CEO, etc., which helped provide context around each CEO's success.
