Problem

Our team was tasked with creating a unique and engaging experience for children's storytime. We wanted to enhance the reading experience by incorporating AI-generated images that would accompany the read-aloud of Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People’s Ears: A West African Tale retold by Verna Aardema.

The challenge was to find an AI tool that could generate high-quality images that were appropriate for children and aligned with the cultural context of the story.

Solution

After extensive research, we decided to use Leonardo.ai, an AI-powered design platform that specializes in generating high-quality images. We worked closely with their team to create a custom model that would generate images based on the characters and settings described in the story.

We used a combination of natural language processing and computer vision techniques to train the model. The result was a set of unique and culturally relevant images that brought the story to life.
