Problem

As a team of students, we found ourselves struggling to keep up with the amount of reading required for our courses. We often found ourselves spending hours reading through long articles and textbooks, only to realize that we had not retained much information. This led us to search for a solution that would help us save time while still allowing us to understand the material.

We discovered chatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot that can summarize text in seconds. However, we noticed that there was no easy way to learn how to use chatGPT effectively. We realized that this was a common problem among students and decided to create a project that would teach others how to use chatGPT for summarizing text.

Solution

We created a project called "Learning ChatGPT" which consisted of a series of video tutorials and interactive exercises designed to teach students how to use chatGPT effectively. The tutorials covered topics such as how to input text into chatGPT, how to adjust the summary length, and how to identify key points in the summary.

In addition, we created a forum where students could ask questions and share tips on using chatGPT. We also provided links to additional resources such as academic papers on natural language processing and summaries of current events generated by chatGPT.

Impact

Over X% of students who completed the course reported saving at least 30 minutes per day on reading assignments.
Students who used chatGPT for summarizing text reported an X% increase in their understanding of the material.
