Problem

Our client, a large manufacturing company, was struggling to manage their vendor relationships effectively. They were using a manual process that involved spreadsheets and emails, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. This resulted in delayed purchase orders, poor vendor performance, and increased costs.

We identified the need for a Vendor Management System (VMS) that would automate the entire process and provide real-time data on vendor performance. The challenge was to develop a user-friendly web application that could handle a large volume of data while ensuring data security and privacy.

Solution

We developed the VMS using Django, a high-level Python web framework that is known for its scalability and security features. The VMS included functionalities for managing vendor profiles, tracking purchase orders, and evaluating vendor performance metrics such as on-time delivery rate, quality rating average, average response time, and fulfillment rate.

The system allowed users to create, update, and delete vendor profiles easily. It also provided real-time data on purchase orders and allowed users to track the status of each order from placement to delivery. The system's dashboard provided an overview of all vendors' performance metrics so that users could identify areas for improvement quickly.
