Problem

Our company was facing a problem with our ID verification process. We were using a process based on the analysis of static photos that was not compliant with the new French Cybersecurity Agency legislation (called PVID) and prone to errors. Our clients were also frustrated with the dated UI, which was leading to a decrease in client trust.

Our goal was to provide a video ID verification compliant with the new PVID legislation in order to receive the PVID accreditation from the French Cybersecurity Agency while providing a seamless user experience.

Solution

After conducting a thorough competitor analysis. I designed a new video ID verification based on the technology developed by the AI team. These machine learning algorithms ensure that the person using the ID verification is alive and whether their face matched the ID card being filmed.

I designed the ID verification process using Figma and tested the prototype with 10 people. I then incorporated the feedback and made new iterations of the prototype. The engineering team implemented this first design.

We had decided that we wanted to offer our clients the best ID verification process. Having done the competitor analysis, I knew that to be able to deliver this, we needed better illustrations and microinteractions. We mandated an Artistic Director to design these elements.

Impact

Netheos received the PVID certification and was able to sell the new video ID verification product to existing and new clients which were required to deal with PVID accredited companies.
New design increased customer satisfaction.

We won X new contracts since our ID verification process got PVID accredited.
