As a new business owner, we needed to establish an online presence quickly and cost-effectively. We had limited funds to invest in hosting and website development but recognized the importance of having a professional-looking website to attract potential clients.

We also wanted to provide a unique customer experience by incorporating an AI chatbot on our landing page that could answer basic questions about our services and direct visitors to relevant information.

Solution

To address these challenges, we purchased the domain name cyberneteng.com and created two websites. The first was a landing page on a sub-domain "whois" with an AI customer service chatbot that only knows my professional work experience as its data set. The second site is where we have intermingled several blog sites into what appears as a web page using Publii, an open-source static site CMS.

By using free hosting services, we were able to keep our total cost of ownership at $30 over three years. This allowed us to allocate more resources towards marketing efforts and other business expenses.
