Problem

As part of an educational research project, we were tasked with analyzing data to answer two specific questions. The first question was whether there was a difference in the level of anxiety students feel about learning course content versus completing assigned work for the semester. The second question was whether there was a difference in screen time between people who use social media for happiness and those who do not. The third question was what's the relationship between minutes per day on physical activity, happiness while engaging in physical activity, and wellbeing impact from consistent physical activity?

Solution

To tackle these challenges, we decided to use STATA, a powerful statistical software package commonly used in academic research. We began by cleaning and organizing the data to ensure that it was ready for analysis.

Next, we used various statistical methods such as t-tests and regression analysis to answer the two research questions. We carefully reviewed our results to ensure that they were accurate and reliable before presenting them to our client.

RQ1: Is there a difference in the level of anxiety students feel about learning the content of their courses this semester and the level of anxiety students feel about completing their assigned work for the semester?

Conclusion:

RQ2: Is there a difference in the number of hours spent on all screens between people who use social media for happiness and those that do not use social media for happiness?

RQ3: What's the relationship between minutes per day on physical activity, happiness while engaging in physical activity, and well-being impact from consistent physical activity?
