As Senior Product Manager at Cox Automotive, I unified fragmented financing experiences across legacy products by leading the development of a composable Credit Application API and UI. This solution streamlined financing for consumers, improved partner integrations, and enhanced customer satisfaction, resulting in over $1 billion in annual transactions and stronger partner relationships.

Problem

As a Senior Product Manager at Cox Automotive, I lead Finance Services products including our credit applications and APIs that drive financing and leasing for our 20m+ shoppers across digital automotive retailers and network of 40,000 dealers. I recognized that our existing financing experiences were fragmented across five legacy products causing a poor customer experience and wasted technical debt. Additionally, our retail partners were also struggling to provide a seamless financing experience to their customers.

I recognize an opportunity to create a solution that would address these challenges and provide consumers with an unified user-interface that leverage a Credit App API and streamlined integration with retail and platform partners.

Solution

I led a cross-functional team of product owners, engineers, architects, and designers to develop our Cox Automotive Credit Application. The solution leverages composable web architecture and APIs to easily be integrated into any platform or digital retailing partner's financing experience, allowing consumers to easily apply for financing and leasing on new and used vehicles across our nationwide network of banks and lenders. I worked closely with our partner support team to ensure our early partners we successfully setup and integrated to ensure a seamless experience for their customers.
