Background
Our team was approached by a logistics company that specializes in transporting packages and parcels across the country. The company had been facing challenges with their current system, which involved manually tracking packages and communicating with drivers via phone calls and text messages. This resulted in delays, errors, and a lack of visibility into the status of packages.
Problem
The main problem faced by our client was the lack of an efficient system to track package delivery. This led to delayed deliveries, lost packages, and dissatisfied customers. Additionally, the manual process of tracking packages was time-consuming and prone to errors. The client needed a solution that would automate their processes and provide real-time visibility into package delivery.
Solution
We proposed a solution that involved developing a web-based platform for package tracking and management. The platform would allow customers to track their packages in real-time using a unique tracking number provided at the time of shipment. Drivers would also have access to the platform through a mobile app, which would enable them to receive package details, update delivery status, and communicate with customers directly through the platform.
The platform was developed using modern technologies such as ReactJS for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. We also integrated Google Maps API to provide real-time location tracking of packages during transit.
