Intro

I was an early team member at Breather, a Montreal-based startup that provided on-demand workspaces. The company had recently raised a Series C round of funding and was planning to expand across the country and into the UK and Canada.

Problem Statement

The company was in need of a demand-side growth strategy for these new markets.

Approach

I took the lead in developing an expansion playbook to launch Breather in 6 new markets: Boston, Chicago, D.C., London, LA, & Toronto. I hired and trained a team to execute ongoing sales, marketing, and operations. I also led partnerships with real estate and hospitality partners like coworking spaces, hotels, and coffee shops.

Results

The expansion into these new markets resulted in an increase in revenue through the b2b offering, Breather for Business, which allowed companies to manage workspaces and meeting rooms for their employees. The real estate footprint grew to over 500 Breather locations.

Impact
